California Solar Initiative Solar Thermal Rebates implemented by legislation: AB 1470

The CSI Thermal Program is funded by $250 million budget to displace gas water heaters, and $100.8 million budget to displace electric water heaters with renewable solar water heating systems.

AB 1470 intends to reduce natural gas and fossil fuel dependence because our dependence puts a strain on energy supplies and threatens California's growing population and economy.
